Bring in the instant replay…hold umps accountable!
Fine them when they’re wrong!
@owlsrfun47 go suck a fat left nut and go back to brookland u ass. leave boston alone
i dont blame varitec and pap. that ump is an asshole and has been all year
@owlsrfun47 stop swearing, dude
@noname145902 They were crying because they wanted what were blatant balls to be called strikes. It’s not rocket science, dude
@owlsrfun47 wtf???
@owlsfun47 maybe when ur team goes 9-1 in 10 games u can complain and also the ump came out out papelbon for no reason. They were close calls but the umb overreacted
I LOVE the Red Sox, but the ump was being pretty consistant on this one, I think he’s a giant puss for ejecting him though…the ump could have just let it go in the first place. But it doesn’t matter since they still pulled off the win! lol
LOL, what pussies Varitek and Papelbon are. Play the game like men, stop fucking crying little bitches
mcgriltes sucks big juicy ass bitch
@stags066 he didnt bait him he call consistent balls and strike its no tthe umps fault papel is a lose cannon and the ump does have control of the situation by ejecting him i dont really like or dislike either team but it doesnt matter what you say to a player making big bucks they all are going to do what ever they like untill 1 you eject them or 2 dig into their wallet
Yaz played hard,
Every at bat was to send that ball out of the park.
No steroids just potatoes.
Carl a “MVP’, and “Triple Crown Winner”.
Any others?? Ya.
But we have some other great players in baseball.
A great game played all over the world.
You don’t need to be good , but can have fun on a team.
The best part of the ENTIRE mini-series in my opinion.
Yaz sure had a swing.
I played the game but I never tried that hard.
One thing to get a hit and another to send a homer.
There is no question about Carl’s wonderful abilities as a ballplayer, but if you want to really get a “fair and balanced” picture about who is, you must read “Ball Four” by Jim Bouton.
Put simply… he wasn’t much of a teammate. He was one of the “I got mine – screw you” types. Sure he worked hard and he earned it, but the other Red Sox who worked just as hard but who weren’t superstars, deserved their share too. Anti-union guys like Yaz stood in the way.
I was not born yet in 1967, However I grew up listening to Ned Martin calling the Sox. Hearing his voice call the base hit with YAZ up to tie the last game of the season gives me the chills.
Captain Carl, Yaz. Whatever you want to call him was my favorite red sock before my time RED SOX!
